Lassen Volcanic National Park
Home to Lassen Peak, Lassen Volcanic National Park is a combination of the Cinder Cone National Monument and Lassen Peak National Monument. Established in 1916, this national park set in northern California’s Cascade region welcomes nearly 400,000 visitors each year.
Lassen Volcanic National Park features more than 150 miles of hiking trails, and even snowshoeing in the winter. Water recreation like fishing, boating, and kayaking are also available, as well as visitor centers and museums. The site sits just north of Chester, and northwest of Susanville.
