California Hotel Reservations
Spread across 466 acres, the McClellan-Palomar Airport is just south of Carlsbad in the San Diego region of California. The airport was built in 1959. Throughout the years, the runway has been expanded, added a control tower, terminal and installed an instrument landing system. By 1951, American Eagle Airlines offered flights to Los Angeles.
Continued improvements have included a new terminal building and restaurant. Although general aviation is the main activity at the airport, the airport does offer commercial flights through United Express to Los Angeles International Airport. Over three hundred aircraft are located at the airport, mostly comprised of single engine airplanes.
