Pismo State Beach
Just east of California cities such as Pismo Beach, Oceano and Grover Beach, the Pismo State Beach a great family getaway along the central California coast. This California State Beach welcomes visitors with opportunities for swimming, surfing and sunbathing just off Highway 1.
Other than hiking, fishing and sunbathing, the Pismo State Beach is well known for its famous Pismo clam. Visitors are encouraged to dig around for the clam – that little guy known for burying itself in the sands of Pismo Beach. Nature lovers may also bird watch amongst the tree-lined dunes of the beach, and keep an eye out for the abundant population of monarch butterflies in the area. Need to dry off?
