California's North Coast Events
2016 Cloverdale Citrus Fair
A fun-filled festival featuring plenty of sunshine, family fun, and more. The festival is in its 10th year, held at the Cloverdale Citrus Fairgrounds, beginning at noon Friday, and 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
A scenic 5K held at Howarth Park in Santa Rosa, all being held for a great cause. Enjoy the views of Spring Lake and Lake Ralphine with Santa Rosa residents. The run begins at noon.
2016 Redwood Coast Music Fest
A four-day music festival featuring regional jazz, swing, blues, calypso, and more at six different venues throughout Eureka. Check the schedule during your visit.
2016 Redwood Wild River Run
A fun-filled 5K fun run/walk that traverses beautiful Crescent City. The race start time is TBA.
The Comedy of Errors
Head for the North Coast Repertory Theatre in Eureka between March 24th and April 16th to see a live performance of Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors. Shows are Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m., with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.
Humboldt Dog Expo
On March 6th, visit the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds in Eureka for the annual Humboldt Dog Expo. Free to the public, this dog expo features canine education classes for nearly all breeds. Dogs must be registered beforehand. Admission is free.
Butter and Egg Days Parade & Festival
Experience the Butter and Egg Days Parade and Festival in Historic Downtown Petaluma. On April 23rd, check out the 35th rendition of this popular event. Don't miss the Cow Chip Tossing contest or the Cutest Lil Chick Contest.
Film Festival Petaluma
As one of the top annual events along the north coast, Film Festival Petaluma is a can't-miss. Head for the Mystic Theatre on May 7th for a day of shorts and feature length films, followed by Q & A panels.
California's High Sierras Events
Free Chess Tournament for Kids
Maybe your child isn't the next Bobby Fischer but they want to play some chess anyway. Check out the Free Chess Tournament for Kids at the Gateway Elementary School in Ridgecrest.
World Police & Fire Winter Games
In Mammoth Lakes, be sure to check out the seven-day World Police & Fire Winter Games. Held at the Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center, this event is open to active and retired law enforcement and fire personnel.
Early Opener Trout Derby
Visit the city of Bishop this spring and enter the Early Opener Trout Derby. Held on March 5th at Diaz Lake, this fishing contest features prizes for kids and adults.
2015 Winter Series Bishop Motocross
Enjoy some of the best motocross action found in the High Sierras. Held at the Tri-County Fairgrounds near Bishop, the 2015 Winter Series Bishop Motocross kicks off at 7 a.m.

2016 Hops & Shops Brewfest
Downtown Redding hosts the third annual "Hops and Shops" craft brew festival, which features local businesses offering unique shopping alongside tasty selections from over 15 breweries. The festivities begin at 2 p.m.
2016 Sundial Film Festival
Now in its 8th year, the Sundial Film Festival showcases some of the region's best short films and photos. The festival is held at the recently renovated Cascade Theatre in Redding, and all are invited. The fun begins at 1 p.m.
NorCal Boat, Sport & RV Show
Head for the Shasta District Fairgrounds between March 4th and 6th for the annual NorCal Boat, Sport & RV Show. See what's new in the world of power boats and RVs. Tickets ranges between $3 and $7.
2016 Fly Fishing Extravaganza
Enjoy a day of fishing on your next visit to Redding. On March 19th, head for the Win-River Event Center for the annual Fly Fishing Extravaganza. Admission is $45 solo, or $80 for a pair.
Cabin Fever Dance with Edgewater
Enjoy an evening of drinks and dancing – it's the Cabin Fever Dance with Edgewater. Head for the Chester Memorial Hall near downtown Chester on March 19th. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the bands kicks in at 7 p.m.
2016 Siskiyou Sportsmen's Expo
Explore Yreka this spring. Head for the Siskiyou Golden Fairgrounds on March 12th and 13th for the annual Siskiyou Sportsmen's Expo. Check out the latest and greatest gear and gadgets for camping, fishing, hunting, and more.
2016 Banff Mountain Film Festival

117th Annual Golden Dragon Parade & Chinese New Year Festival
Celebrate the Chinese New Year in LA's Chinatown district, as a festive parade featuring dragons, marching bands, entertainers, and more makes its way through the town. The fun begins at 1 p.m.
2016 Long Beach Mardi Gras at Rainbow Harbor
A colorful festival held outside the Aquarium of the Pacfic in Long Beach, set to feature all the charm and fun of New Orleans – live music, parades, and so much more.
2016 Rose Bowl Flea Market
Find "vintage treasures" at Pasadena's Rose Bowl Stadium during this one-of-a-kinda flea market celebration. The market opens early, at 5 a.m.
2016 Fiesta Broadway
A fun-filled event taking place in the streets of downtown L.A. featuring a variety of Latin-American cultural activities and food. The event begins at 11 a.m.
2016 Hamburger & Hops Music Festival
Collection Riverpark in Oxnard hosts its annual food and tunes festival. Come for the delicious food and craft beers, stay for the games and live entertainment. More details are TBA.
Orange County Events
2016 Surf City USA Marathon & Half Marathon
A popular outdoor event held along the Pacific Coast Highway to Central Park in Huntington Beach, featuring both a marathon and half marathon, as well as beer garden and other post-race activities. Event start time varies by day.
An art show that features artists dropping off their artwork in the morning, and having a jury hand out awards by the early evening. Toss-in your own submission, or just enjoy the artisitc atmosphere. The show begins at 11 a.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Laguna Beach.
2016 Dana Point Festival of Whales
A group of whales make their way south – be there for the whale watching celebration featuring a street fair, food, parade, entertainment, and more, at Dana Point Harbor. Festival start time is TBA.
2016 Musco Center for the Arts Community Open House & Arts Festival
Chapman University in Orange hosts a day of free performances, fine art showcases, children's activities, and so much more. The even begins at 10 a.m.
2016 OC Fair Imaginology
Go "Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead" at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa during this three-day event, featuring competitions, exhibits, and free kids' activities, all dedicated to science, technology, engineering, and the arts. The event starts at 9 a.m. Friday, 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
San Francisco Bay Area Events
2016 Super Bowl 50
The NFL's two best teams face-off in the biggest sporting event of the year. This year's game will be played a Levis Stadium in Santa Clara. Visitors won't want to miss events leading up to the big game, including Run the Road to Super Bowl 50, NFL Experience in San Francisco, and San Francisco Symphony and NFL Films.
2016 KNBR Giants FanFest
Traveling San Francisco Giants fans won't want to miss the annual Giants FanFest, set to include player appearances, photo ops with World Series trophies, a kids' zone, and much more. The fest is held at AT&T Park, beginning at 10 a.m.
2016 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
One of the PGA Tour's most renowned and scenic stops, Pebble Beach sees some of the best professional and celebrity, amateur golfers competing for prizes, alongside a week's worth of special events. The course is located in Pacific Grove, with event times yet to be determined.
2016 Ocean Film Festival
Dozens of independent films will be screened at the Cowell Theater at the Fisherman's Whart in San Francisco. The films have a theme of ocean and environmental awareness – ideal for the Bay Area visitor. Details will be announced as the festival approaches.
5th Annual Bay Area Brews Festival
Make your way to Pier 35 for the 5th Annual Bay Area Brew Festival. Find your favorite international and domestic beers, along with heaps of new brews you've yet to taste.
San Francisco Pride
Check out the 46th Annual San Francisco Pride Celebration & Parade. On June 25th & 26th, head for the San Francisco Civic Center Plaza for music, dancing, parades, and more.
Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon
Think you can handle a 1.5-mile swim, followed by an 18-mile bike ride, and then topped off with an 8-mile run? Great! Head for the San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf for the 2016 Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon on June 12th.
Friday Nights @ OMCA
An inviting event held weekly at the Oakland Museum of California featuring local food trucks, regional craft beer tastings, live music, and special weekly events. The fun begins at 5 p.m. every Friday.
San Francisco Marathon
Comprised of several different running events, the San Francisco Marathon is one of the biggest events of the year. Take part in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, Ultra Marathon, or 5K – head for the Embarcadero near the Ferry Building.
Oakland First Friday Festival
Just as the name would suggest, on the first Friday of each month, the KONO district in Oakland transforms into a cultural hub, teeming with galleries, street performers, food, live music, and much more. The event runs from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Folsom Street Fair
Celebrating its 31st rendition, the Folsom Street Fair is one of the premier leather events in San Francisco. Join the anticipated 400,000 guests across 13 city blocks on September 25th, all in conjunction with San Francisco Leather Week.
San Francisco Fleet Week

Romance and Destiny

4000 Miles Live on Stage
