Celebrate our nation's independence in Palm Desert this Fourth of July. The 2016 Palm Desert Independence Day is patriotic and family-friendly fun at Palm Desert Civic Center Park, complete with a fantastic fireworks display set to an all-American soundtrack.
The 3rd Annual Coachella Valley Improv/Comedy Festival is three days of knee slappers, July 10th through 12th. The Indio Performing Arts Center is set to host the event, bringing improv teams, sketch comedy groups, and stand up comics to compete for prizes and awards.
The 2016 Lemon Lily Festival is held at the Idyllwild Nature Center, less than an hour west of Palm Springs in Idyllwild. This year's Lemon Lily Festival is set to include plenty of arts and crafts, educational exhibits, guest speakers, and even a living Pioneer Town. Get there early – it all starts at 9 a.m.
The 2016 Jazz in the Pines event offers a unique way for Idyllwild visitors to get away this summer. Held August 15th and 16th, the festivities draw visitors with over two dozen artists performing on the outdoor Idyllwild Arts mountain campus.
Nature lovers can experience Joshua Tree National Park for free this summer. On August 25th, the iconic park, located just south of Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley, celebrates the National Park Service’s birthday by letting visitors explore its 550,000-plus acres with no admission fee.
