McClellan-Palomar Airport

McClellan-Palomar Airport, encompasses 466 acres, south of Carlsbad, in the San Diego region of California. The airport was built in 1959. Throughout the years, the runway has been expanded, added a control tower, terminal and installed an instrument landing system. By 1951, American Eagle Airlines offered flights to Los Angeles. Continued improvements have included a new terminal building and restaurant.

Although general aviation is the main activity at the airport, the airport does offer commercial flights through United Express to Los Angeles International Airport.
