Burbank Aviation Museum

In Valhalla Memorial Park, The Burbank Aviation Museum highlights the aviation heritage of Burbank.The museum is the result of volunteer community collaboration to honor local aviation production and influential people. Burbank is currently home to a variety of aviation related companies. Dodger Stadium

Home Depot Center

The stadium has also hosted the USA Sevens Rubgy Tournament, as well as several events and concerts. The 8,000 seat tennis stadium is the training facility for USTA's USA Tennis High Performance and has hosted major tennis events, boxing and live performances. The velodrome, the largest in the country, features a 250 meter indoor wood bicycle racing track. The track and field stadium features a Super Mondo X track and is home to the Adidas Track Classic. LA/Ontario International Airport

The LA/Ontario International Airport, in the Los Angeles suburb of Ontario, was built in 1923 by The Friends of Ontario Airport - a flying club. The airport was named Latimer Field. By 1929, the airport was established as the Ontario Municipal Airport in the southwest corner of the present airport. In 1943, during World War II, it served as a Army Air Corps P-38 training base and P-59 operating base. In the 1950's, the airport was home to Douglas, Northop and Lockheed aircraft plants.

The 1,700-acre airport is the third major airport in the Los Angeles area, following Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and John Wayne Airport. The airport's long runways are sometimes used as an alternative for LAX flights, during inclement weather. Passengers have plenty of flight choices from the seven commercial airlines, serviced in the airport's three terminals. Airport amenities include dining, shopping and rental car agencies. Leonis Adobe Museum

The Leonis Adobe Museum, located near Los Angeles, was the home of "the King of Calabasas", Leonis Adobe. Tour this 150-year-old home, with its original buildings, to see what life on the ranch was like in the late 1800s. In 1962, the ranch was saved from demolition and declared the first Historic Cultural Monument in Los Angeles. The museum's artifacts include laundry washboards, the horno oven, wagons and several pieces of farm equipment.

Los Angeles International Airport

Los Angeles International Airport encompasses more than 3,500 acres of land in southwest Los Angeles. The airport began as Mines Field in 1928, on 640 acres. Hangar No. 1 was built in 1929 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It avoided demolition as the airport expanded, as is the cargo building for the Aviation Facilities Company. In 1930, the airport began as the "official" airport for the Los Angeles area. The airport remains the busiest airport in the state and the world's sixth busiest airport for passenger traffic, flights and air cargo.

The airport's 112 gates in its nine terminals, served more than 61,000,000 passengers in 2011 and averages over 565 daily flights. The airport is operated by the Los Angeles World Airports, along with LA/Ontario International Airport and Van Nuys General Aviation. The Page Museum La Brea Tar Pits is located in one of the world's most famous fossil locations. The museum features one of the most diverse exhibits of Ice Age animals and plants.
