Bodie State Historic Park

Bodie State Historic Park is a wonderful preserved ghost town, located north of Mammoth Lakes in California's Gold Country. Named after Waterman S. Body, the town of Bodie flourished in the late 1800s during the California gold rush. Approximately 10,000 people moved to Bodie to strike it rich.

Visit this National Historic Site and State Park to see the remaining buildings, after the last residents left town. The building interiors remain untouched and items are still on the shelves. Stop by the museum to learn more about this ghost town and stroll through the bookstore. Enjoy a nice drive south to Mammoth Lakes, for an enjoyable night's rest as a guest of Best Western hotels.

Devils Postpile National Monument

Located near Mammoth Mountain, Devils Postpile National Monument is an amazing formation of columnar basalt. Visit during summer and fall, the monument is closed during winter and spring. Accessible by automobile, shuttle or bicycle - this is an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

Be sure to take in Rainbow Falls on the San Joaquin River, and you are welcome to bring your fishing pole as well. Hikers can enjoy the John Muir Trail and Pacific Crest Trail and enjoy the scenic outdoors. A marvel of mother nature, Devils Postpile is a sight to behold.

Mammoth Yosemite Airport

Mammoth Yosemite Airport is located ten minutes southeast of Mammoth Lakes, in the Gold Country region of California. The airport's runway services commercial flights to Los Angeles, San Jose and from Portland, Oregon via Alaska Airlines. United Airlines provides flights to Mammoth Yosemite Airport from Orange County, San Francisco and San Diego.

Convenient parking and the airport terminal provide conveniences for passengers.
