Monterey Bay's historic waterfront district, Cannery Row, is a must visit destination on the central California coast. Monterey Regional Airport
The Monterey Regional Airport encompasses 498 acres of land, a few miles southeast of Monterey. The airport was established in 1936 as the Monterey Peninsula Airport and provided general aviation services and commercial flights for the San Jose area. Flights to San Diego, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Denver, San Francisco and Phoenix are available through the five commercial airlines.
Rental car agencies, taxi service, dining and shopping is available in the airport terminal. If time allows before a flight, stroll through the art on display in the terminal gallery. Five fixed base operators provide services for general aviation, including aircraft maintenance, chartered flights, rental hangars, pilot's lounges and pilot sleeping rooms.
