Corona hosts the 43rd Annual Corona Cinco de Mayo Parade and Fiesta May 3rd. One of the Inland Empire’s largest Cinco de Mayo celebrations, the 2014 fiesta features a newly crowned Queen overseeing the Saturday morning parade starting at the corner of Sixth and Merrill Streets, and ending at Corona City Park. Enjoy an afternoon in the park with live music, kid’s amusements, and great food.
Join West Coast Thunder XV to celebrate Memorial Day 2014. The popular motorcycle run is May 26th starting near the Riverside Harley-Davidson dealer. After opening ceremonies, the parade departs at 9:11 for a ride through Moreno Valley and Riverside National Cemetery, before ending at Soboba Casino in San Jacinto. Afternoon events feature recording artist Rodney Atkins on stage.
The City of Moreno Valley hosts the Fourth of July’s Moreno Valley Independence Day Parade and Family FunFest, a long-standing Inland Empire tradition. A patriotic family-fun event featuring food, vendors, and activities for all ages, begins with the morning parade. An afternoon of fun at Mountain View Middle School follows, with bands, live music, and fireworks.
East in Beaumont, June brings the 2014 Beaumont Cherry Festival June 5th through 8th. The community’s biggest annual event, the Cherry Festival features rides, games music, and entertainment, along with the best of festival foods. The line-up features Brenton Wood, the BOE Band, and The Latin Legends Live with Tierra, among the schedule. Join family and friends at Stewart Park and enjoy the Beaumont Cherry Festival.
Active outdoor enthusiasts take advantage of the season and join the challenge of the Big Bear Triathlon June 28th. The 2014 triathlon features Olympic and sprint distances starting with the swim in Big Bear Lake. Be prepared for Big Bear Lake's 7,000 foot elevation and enjoy the courses through the San Bernardino National Forest and mild summer temperatures.
Escape the Inland Empire valley heat in July at the 2014 Big Bear Paddlefest. Held July 12th at Swim Beach in Meadow Park at Big Bear Lake, the call goes out to Challenge the Bear with kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. From the kids fun race to the 20k SUP, there is fun for all.
