Visiting California's Inland Empire
Plan your next Inland Empire excursion for the spring – it’s truly a treat. From Temecula (in the south) to Big Bear Lake (in the far northeast of the region) and all the fun in between, you’ll find a wealth of attractive, interesting, and – most importantly – fun things to do. Travel into San Bernardino and check out the McDonald’s & Route 66 Museum, or visit Rancho Cucamonga and make time for the Joseph Filippi Winery & Vineyards – a real taste of the Inland Empire! No matter your reason for visiting, be sure to explore the Inland Empire as fully as you can.
After you’ve toured the McDonald’s & Route 66 Museum, check out the rest of San Bernardino. Visit the California Theatre of the Performing Arts on March 16th for a live performance of ART, winner of the 1998 Tony Award for Best Play. March 29th-31st, take the kids to see Shrek The Musical – find your perfect seat at the California Theatre of the Performing Arts when you travel in from Moreno Valley, or Beaumont.
Don’t miss a rousing performance from the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra, when, on March 9th, they perform Concert 4: Celebrating Verdi & Wagner, live at the California Theatre of Performing Arts.
If you’ve got a racing fan in the family, head to the Auto Club Speedway on March 23rd for the NASCAR Royal Purple 300, or on March 24th for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Auto Club 400. Make the drive in from Chino or Ontario – both set west of downtown San Bernardino.
In the city of Corona, you’ll find an array of pleasant, local events match up perfectly with your springtime visit. On February 28th, head to the Corona Public Library for the 2nd Annual Ladders and Linguini event – you’ll enjoy a fine dinner to help support the Teens on Main Technology Center.
On any Saturday during the month of March, head to the Main Street Marketplace for excellent, locally grown produce and other goods at the Corona Farmers Market.
Head to Ontario and prepare to split your sides with a visit to the Ontario Improv. Enjoy stand up from Donnell Rawlings on February 14th–16th, or check out the popular stand up Pablo Francisco on February 21st–24th. If your visit brings you to Ontario in May, be sure to reserve at least one night for comedian Christopher Titus, who performs live at the Ontario Improv from May 2nd–5th.
