Los Angeles has a variety of trails to get you outside in the beautiful California climate - stretch those legs and take a walk. Check out fantastic views of the Hollywood sign along the Runyon Canyon Loop to summit at Cloud’s Rest. This is an off leash area for dogs, so don’t leave your best friend behind. The West Trail Loop at Griffith Observatory is another great trail for views of the LA Basin. Will Rogers State Park in Santa Monica is easy to reach off Sunset Boulevard. Be sure to take the trail to Inspiration Point for the most spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Mountains.
The California Science Center is a must-visit destination for families visiting Southern California. Located south of downtown Los Angeles in historic Exposition Park conveniently off the Harbor Freeway. Extended through March 11, the Weingart Gallery hosts 1001 Inventions. The exhibit showcases the scientific contributions of the Golden Age of Muslim Civilization. Science in Toyland is another wonderful interactive exhibit featuring the Kids Construction co, Tournament of Tops and the Domino Challenge. The California Science Center offers interesting and innovative exhibits for all ages.
