California National Parks: Redwood
Adventure in Redwood National Forest
Redwood National Forest
Established in 1968, Redwood National Park includes Del Norte Coast State Park, Jedediah Smith State Park, and Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park – all on 112,618 acres.
Set on northern California’s coast, Redwood National Park is home to some of the tallest trees in the world – a real sight for your eyes and your camera.
Redwood National Park features everything from hiking and kayaking to wildlife viewing and picnicking.
Trek along the 200 miles of hiking trails in the park, or break out the bike for adventure on two-wheels amongst the redwoods. Cycle down the 10-mile Little Bald Hills Trail, or the 19-mile Ossagon Trail Loop for a day trip, and a real challenge.
This park also offers horseback riding, scenic drives, and backcountry travel for the true adventurer.
The park is also home to several visitor centers, perfect for those looking for a little information on the Redwood National Park.
