Major Airports in the Bay Area & Sacramento
San Francisco International Airport
Serving the San Francisco Bay Area, the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is the busiest airport in San Francisco, and second in California. SFO is a hub for United Airlines, and supports other major airlines American, Delta, and Southwest, as well as Korean Air, British Airways, and Air France.
The Bay Area is also served by Oakland International Airport in Oakland, Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport in San Jose, and the Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa.
Northern California airports include the Del Norte County Airport in Crescent City, the Arcata/Eureka Airport north of Eureka and Arcata, the Redding Municipal Airport in Redding, and the Chico Municipal Airport in Chico.
Several airports serve California’s capital region, including the Sacramento International Airport in Sacramento, the Stockton Metropolitan Airport in Stockton, and the Mammoth Yosemite Airport in Mammoth Lakes.
Set on the central California coast, the city of Monterey is served by the Monterey Regional Airport. Further inland, the central valley of California is served by the Modesto City-County Airport in Modesto, and the Fresno Yosemite International Airport in Fresno.
