Visiting Orange County

Westminster has celebrated the Vietnamese Lunar New Year and Orange County is ready for spring events and festivities. Little Saigon in Westminster preserves the heritage and culture of the Vietnamese American community with events like Tet. Along with neighboring community Garden Grove, Westminster hosts the largest Vietnamese Lunar New Year celebration in the US. Throughout the OC, spring arrives along with popular events including the 2013 April Newport Beach Film Festival. Dana Point hosts the Doheny Blues Festival in May at Doheny State Beach, while Garden Grove hosts the Strawberry Festival downtown at the Village Green – a popular family friendly event.

Spring brings High School graduations across Orange County. Anaheim beckons graduates to Grad Nite at Disneyland Resort. From May 9th through June 21st Disneyland and Disney California Adventure hosts 2013 graduates on multiple evenings, featuring Park-Hopper tickets including Cars Land, and a dance party for the grads once the park is closed. The fun at Disneyland lasts until 3am, and includes a screening of World of Color. Make Disneyland and Anaheim part of your High School memories.

The city of Orange, east of Anaheim and north of Santa Ana, is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2013. Join the festivities on April 6th, featuring a block-party at the historic Plaza of Old Towne Orange. Popular local band Superlark plays at the Plaza Stage while visitors enjoy food booths, kids fun and treats. Wear your favorite orange outfit and join the fun.

Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park celebrates spring with the new 2013 Knott’s Berry Bloom. From March 23rd through April 7th enjoy events including a Search for the Easter Beagle, Peanuts’ Party in the Park and Lucy’s Really Big Show. Fiesta Village hosts an evening Spring Fling Dance Party for the dancers in the group.

Newport Beach launches spring with one of its favorite activities – sailing. Presented by Newport Beach, Newport Ocean Sailing Association, the 2013 Lexus Newport to Ensenada Yacht Race is April 21st through 28th. The Newport race features 50 trophy categories and a 125-mile course running on an overnight adventure. Fans, be sure to join the Fiesta in the Fun Zone on April 25th before the start.
