Found in northern California, Susanville is a pleasant city found in between Honey Lake and Eagle Lake. Your time in Susanville will yield charming views of the Shasta Cascade area and the Lassen National Forest. Once known as Roopville, Susanville is also the seat of Lassen County, and is only 40 minutes from nearby Chester.

While in Susanville enjoy visits to Susanville Ranch Park for hikes, and excellent nature views. Head south just a few miles along Highway 395, and explore Honey Lake – try some fishing, maybe launch a boat and catch a tan. While the lake is great, be sure to visit the Honey Lake State Wildlife Area, set just along the north shore of the lake.
